A father, a son and a horse

Dr. Stewart had some great pictures of the horses and their riders at the 11,000 horse parade. We couldn't stay for the parade but the prelude was captivating in its own right. Take a look.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Instead of 10, 000 horses for the parade, they had over 11, 000. Instead of a 3,000 horse race, they had 4,249. Twenty six child jockeys were thrown off their horses during the race but no one was injured.

Not everyone needed to be on a horse to have fun at this event.
